Place à la réflexion...
Since Roman times, Tavel has been an exceptional terroir. At the entrance to the village, the inscription "1st Rosé of France" reminds us of its unique history: in 1936, it was one of the first wines to receive the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée, alongside Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
For us, wine is a family affair. Jean-Maxime wanted to return to the roots of authentic Tavel, the one from his grandparents. He replanted forgotten grape varieties like Clairette Rose and Calitor, while preserving the iconic blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre.
The result? Our cuvée "Présent", a Tavel at 12.5%, just like in the past. A balanced, fruity wine with raspberry notes and beautiful freshness. Here, the intense color does not signify a high alcohol level, but rather a heritage, a signature.
Today's Tavel may no longer be the rosé one might imagine, but it remains a wine of character, shaped by tradition and passion. A family wine, meant to be shared.
