A Respectful Approach to Viticulture

All the vineyard plots are certified Organic Farming or in conversion.
But beyond the label, Jean-Maxime strives to ensure that the land truly lives and that there is genuine harmony between fauna and flora.
He does not till the soil in winter, allowing the earth and insects to thrive.
He has also planted vegetation around the vines to encourage balance between species.
Jean-Maxime is fortunate to work his vines on a variety of terroirs, from limestone slabs, sandy soils, to the famous rounded pebbles.

Notre histoire

The Domaine Val de l’Orme is above all a family and passionate adventure, rooted in Tavel, in the heart of the Côtes du Rhône in the Gard.

Coming from a lineage of winemakers, Jean-Maxime Delorme chose to perpetuate the legacy of his ancestors while bringing a modern and nature-respectful vision.

After having crafted his first cuvées under his own name in 2021 and 2022, he fulfilled his dream in 2023 by creating the Domaine Val de l’Orme, named in tribute to the field elms replanted on a parcel he particularly cherishes.

Faithful to his convictions, Jean-Maxime cultivates his vines in organic farming or in conversion, encouraging biodiversity and reviving forgotten grape varieties.

His philosophy? To produce authentic wines, made for pleasure and sharing, favoring finesse, freshness, and low alcohol content (when possible).

Our Tavel

The historical cradle of the estate, Tavel is a unique and emblematic appellation, renowned for its characterful rosés.
At Domaine Val de l’Orme, Jean-Maxime pays tribute to this tradition while adding his personal touch: his Tavel wines combine freshness and gourmandise, with subtle blends of white and black grape varieties, carefully vinified to reveal finesse and balance.
Each vintage embodies the ambition to create a gastronomic rosé, both elegant and structured.

Our Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Producing a Châteauneuf-du-Pape at Domaine Val de l’Orme is a thoughtful and confidential act.
The cuvée, crafted from a  blend of Grenache and Syrah, is vinified and aged on lees in barrels for several months to reveal power, depth, and a distinctive elegance.
Limited in quantity, this wine reflects Jean-Maxime’s quest: to preserve the expression of the terroir and grape varieties, while offering a sincere and living bottle, shaped for rare moments and bold pairings.

Our Lirac

The Lirac wines of the estate express all the richness and authenticity of this still too little-known terroir.
In red as in white, Jean-Maxime crafts cuvées that are both charming and balanced, favoring a vinification that highlights fruit and freshness.
The Lirac Rouge captivates with its alliance of Grenache and Syrah, offering suppleness and spice, while the Lirac Blanc delivers a luminous interlude, both floral and mineral.
These are wines for sharing, generous and precise, revealing a subtle facet of the Côtes du Rhône of the Gard.
